 Dear BF: thank you for doing a 5K with me and only walking, I have not ran since 9th grade high school and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I do however appreciate you pushing me through the very end and supporting my horrible jogging abilities. Dear Dr. Z: Thank you for telling me my baby Bella, will most likely be a very large dog and hit 90 lbs.  While I knew she was no Yorkie, 90lbs is alot and more then half what I weight! Cue heart attack now! Dear Friday: after working atleast 50 hours this week I have never been more happy to see you and have a 3 day weekend, first thing on my list..new nails!  I haven't had acrylic in so long and it's time for an upgrade!

It's happening..I'm .....

Moving OUT! 

At the ripe old age of 27, yes that's right I turned the big 2-7 yesterday (Check out my instagram for Birthday Pics).  Anyhow, I degress I will be moving out of my grandparents home and into my home as of the first weekend in May. I've lived in a lot of places in the last few years: with my mom, with my boyfriend, on campus, with my dad and then finally with my grandparents. I've been with my grandparents a few years now and while I feel really blessed to see them daily and live with them. However, the time has come for me to move out and atleast try to survive life outside the nest.  I wasn't planning to move out into next year when I had all my debt paid off, however my dad has two houses; the house he lives in with my step mom and his bachelor pad.  The bachelor pad is on the market but not selling and well the marriage isn't going to hot. So in order to make his life easier and give me a little freedom I've decided to rent his bachelor pad.  I cannot tell everyone how scared I am, but maybe there isn't a perfect time for me to move out and it wasn't realistic to think I could get rid of all my debt.  I'm going to try and if it doesn't work out then I'll move back home with my grandparents. So life is going to be pretty tight for the next couple months but I'm pretty set on making this work.

With that being said I NEED everything, the house is completely empty and except for bedroom furniture I have nothing! Oh, and less then 2 weeks before I move in.  Wish me luck!

So What Wednesday

So what..

• I took a vacation day today since we were supposed to get a foot of snow, so far we've only gotten rain.
• If I now only have one vacation day left currently (until I accrue more)
• If I've waited WEEKS for a spring line release from one of my favorite online boutique stores and after waiting all day, the website crashed and I was unable to purchase anything I wanted, because it all sold out.
• If I haven't filed my taxes yet, I still need to save the additional money to PAY to the government.  
• This is the first time I've ever owed on taxes.
• I had girls night Saturday night and all day Sunday I was horribly hung over, I've only ever had a hangover 2 times in my life.
• I'm a pinterest addict, I typically check it before bed and it usually extents my bedtime.
• I love pinning quotes and funny pictures.

Dear Friday: It's made for a long week when you only work 3 days, I can't believe your here already but boy am I glad to see you! Dear Dad: Thank you for dinner tonight, the conversation and the trip to target, it was great to have someone to help me carry my laundry detergent to the car. Oh did i mention the good convo? Dear MD weather: please only be cold when it's going to snow, otherwise the cold and/or rain just makes me want to stay in bed. Dear Now That's Called Music: Thank you for releasing a new CD, although it came out on Tuesday today you are mine. I cannot wait to rock out in my car! Dear Origami Owl(locket pictured above): I absolutely love all your products and the opportunity you've provided me with, I cannot wait to see what opportunities await!

Above is my new Origami Owl locket and thusly the starting of my new business. After waiting 2 months to become a designer (this company is amazing, there is a wait list of 5,000 people) I'm officially an independent designer with the company.

Anyone how knows me knows how much I love anything that sparkles, is pink or can be customized.  A girl I've known forever posted a picture of her locket on Instagram and I was SOLD!  I ordered my first locket as a gift for my step mother that included a plate with the word "family" and all of her children's birthstones.  She absolutely loves it and get's a ton of compliments. I love that they tell a story but can be changed on a wim! Total win in my book!  Did I mention they are moderately priced as well?

I cannot wait to start selling these beauties and share my love with everyone else!

Hello, 2013!

Happy New Year !!!!

I hope everyone had a fabulous time ringing in the new year, I spent mine very low key with my grandparents.  Honestly, there is nothing better then a group hug from both your grandparents when the balls drops!

With that being said, I'm not the type of girl to make a new years resolution.  After all who actually keeps those anyway?  Instead I'll leave you with a list of goals I have and this post as a way to keep myself accountable.

1. Exercise/be more healthy- I will start taking vitamins daily and while I won't be joining the gym I will be trying to be more active at home/work. 
2.  Give more- 2012 showed me just how many things I have to be blessed for and I want to give back, in 2013 I will donate more time, money and energy to others less fortunate then I.
3. Stop wasting time- I will no longer give guys more then they give me, if they don't put in effort neither will I.  If I'm single, that's ok..I'm pretty awesome anyway.
4. Reduce my debt-I will pay off all credit card debt in 2013. I will only have student loans and my car loan going into 2014.
5. Build a savings/nest egg- In 2014, I plan to move out so I will need to have a substantial savings in case of emergencies and for any items for my new place.

Show and Tell Monday: My Career/Job

1. Tell us what you studied in college. Is your job now related to what you studied?
I studied Early Childhood Education starting in my Jr. year of High School completing
HS with an internship and college credits. I then went to community college for 2 years and transferred to a very expensive private school where I decided I didn't want to teach after all.  Finally, I transferred to the school my father worked at (hello, tuition remission!) and decided to switch to business since it was a general degree and I could buy myself more time to decide what I wanted to be when I grow up.  Long story short, I have a degree in Business Administration and I work in Business for a international staffing firm.

2. Tell us what your everyday job looks like.
My typical day starts around 8 where I deleve into at least 2 spreadsheets at any given time and Peoplesoft.   I spend all day working in various excel spreadsheets, calculating, verifying data and working with my office and clients.  I deal with PO's, payroll and customer service.  I work for a staffing company and deal with billing for Oversea's GOVT accounts, my technical title is "Business Operations Associate."

3. Do you have a picture of you at work? Show us.

4. In 10 years, what do you see yourself doing? Same thingMore? Tell us.
In 10 years, I will be working with the company atleast at a promoted level, what that looks like exactly well, I'm still VERY unsure.  However, one thing is for certain I love the company I work for!

5. Tell us what you have learned, and what {if any} recommendations you may have for those looking to go into the field you are in.
Staffing is a difficult field to be in that is faced paced, goal driven, deadline driven and economy based.  Most day's I bust my butt to give my clients the best service I can while upholding the companies policies and procedures.  I love what I do and I hate accounting! I'd say if you graduate from college and your unsure what you want to be when you grow up check out your local staffing company. Depending on the economy they may just be hiring and if you work for a large company like I do the opportunities and corporate culture are unbeatable!

So I reside on the wonderful east coast and more specifically in Maryland.  This is what we're currently facing:

The lady on the bottom left, Sandy well not only is she larger but she's also slower moving then her cousin Irene that devastated Maryland a few years back.

How serious is it?  Well my work closed LAST NIGHT before the storm has even close to DC.  As a matter of fact the storm still hasn't made  just yet and it's going to come a little lower then originally predicted (NJ) and may make landfall in Maryland.  Remember those beach pics I posted earlier in the summer?  It's already  our little beach town about 3.5 hours away.

R.I.P Ocean City fishing pier.  I have quite a few pictures from this pier and while I'm sure they will rebuild it's certainly a piece of history

They are predicting the storm should make landfall sometime earlier this evening and the biggest treat is flooding due to the bay, flooding due to the 6 -12 inches of rain we are expected to recieve and 50-60 MPH winds knocking out power. So far so good.

My prayers to everyone riding out this storm, I shall update when after the storm has passed.

Friday Letters v101912

  Happy Friday Friends!  It seems like it was just last Friday and I couldn't believe the week had went by as quickly as it did.  Guess what? Another Friday is wrapping up and I can't believe it, another week down 42 weeks down in 2012 to be exact, 10 weeks left and we'll be in a new year, can you believe it? Unlike everyone else out partying on a Friday night after a long hard week I'm sitting at home enjoying the quiet of an empty house and the rain outside with the windows open.  Oh and gangland playing on my TV, don't judge. I could make a typical post about Dear Work, Dear Traffice, Dear Big Ass, I don't have time nor do I want to bore anyone on the typical Friday post.  Instead let's discuss one of the many lessons I've learned this year.   Here's a one of my 2012 life lessons:   Your boyfriend can turn into a best friend long after you've broken up- My ex boyfriend and I have what spans 8 year worth of a relationship from being my first love, my first long relationship etc to first person I run to when my life's a mess, first person I run to when there's a death, first people I call to vent about my new dating life.  Yes, it's true I will always love him but that love is much like I have for my brother, I support him and wish he finds someone that would make him happier then I ever did but more importantly I'm so blessed he was ever in my life.  Back in the day when we first met I wasn't even 17 and I liked his friend.  Eventually, after months of talking I met him where he was working part time and we switched numbers and talked on the phone and for almost a year we talked on and off until eventually we became a legit couple.  The next 6 years of my life were a mass of heartache, loss, growth and change.  My ex was even a pallbearer for my mother despite the fact that we weren't talking nor together when she passed away.  I've come to the decision that despite we are both good people we weren't good together but that doesn't change the fact that when I do meet Mr. Right, he can thank my ex for putting up with all my bratty, selfish, immature and trying times.   You never know when someone will have a huge impact on your life or just play a small supporting role, we have no real control over who stays and who goes and sometimes best laid plans become the complete opposite of everything you ever thought.  Some of my closest friendships (my ex included) have a less then perfect past, but hell my past is far from perfect. So my thought for this weekend, be thankful for every person in your life, tomorrow isn't promised to anyone.  I'm blessed to have had amazing people in my life. Some that have always been there, some that only stayed for a short time.  Everyone has taught me, tested me and ultimately helped me on my way.       Oh and I have an amazing new opportunity I cannot wait to tell everyone about!  Post coming soon!

 I must say everyone should be pretty happy I've taken off my make up for today and I'm completely beat from yet another 10 hour day at work. Otherwise, I would VLOG myself singing Cee Lo Brown's Does That Make Me Crazy..thank your lucky stars my friends I am not the singer my grandparents tell me I am. I'm so excited to bring everyone a new and FRESH link up! So without further ado.. Does that make me crazy ....

If you knew me IRL you'd know I typically work something like a minimum of 50 hours a week. Why? The answer is quite simple not only do i LOVE what I do, I strive to give 110% everyday to my company, my bosses and my clients. If that means, I work 50 hour weeks in my quest for perfection then so be it.

Oh and addition to a long work week I work a few times a month modeling for a little extra spend money, socialization.

Speaking of work I work with about 100 other people on my side of the building.  As such I've picked up alot of bad pet peeves.  It WILL drive me crazy is I hear you loudly crunching on your food especially pita chips, raw carrots etc.  Does this not sound like nails on a chalkboard to anyone else?

I have an IPhone 4s that is in MINT condition yet I totally priced out what the new IPhone 5 would cost out of contract and how much I could get for said 4S.  FYI, if you have Verizon you will lose you unlimited data plan if you try to use your upgrade on the 5, however if you purchase it out right you can keep your current plan!  Said Phone costs over $600 out of contract! Oy!!!

My favorite thing to do on the weekend...NOTHING! A typical weekend looks like one day of rest (cleaning/washing clothes) and another day of errands.  I hate to be a person that is constantly on the go and well that's my M-F.

Did I mention M-F I leave as the sun is coming up and head home as the sun is setting?

I cannot leave work without checking that my little portable heater is turned off atleast 5 times which also includes unplugging said heater and double checking it's unplugged. 

I also can't go to bed without telling both my grandparents goodnight, who knows that the night will bring and I cannot not say goodnight.

Oh and by Saturday night I'm so bored out of my mind I can't wait for Monday to get here so
I can go back to work. Oh,  yes it's true.  I enjoy time with my family, friends, relaxing, shopping, walking the dog etc but work makes me really happy and well..that makes me CRAZY!!!

So what..

If I've been so stressed that I've resorted to running.  My dog loves the idea, I however don't but it does clear my mind. 

If this is the last week of the quarter and therefore bonuses will be awarded in next weeks pay and mine is already spent.  So you see, I needed that new sony waterproof camera and clothes for work and my poor credit card could use some help.

If sometimes I worry about my weight and then eat a bag of puppy chow.  If you haven't tried it, it's only the best thing ever!  Rice chex+peanut butter+ chocolate and coated in powdered sugar = BEST THING EVER!

If I have iphone envy, it wasn't been a year ago I received my 4S but I'm lusting after the 5 in a major way. The worst part is I can't upgrade and keep my plan, bye bye unlimited data? No thanks!  Paying $650 for a phone might be an option one day.

1. What is the first website you log on to each day? facebook, I go to bed early (usually by 10 on the weekdays and 11 on weekends) so I need to see what I've missed while the rest of the world was awake and I was asleep.

Thedirty.com - it's not porn I promise, but more like a local gossip thing.  Funny thing is a girl I know was most recently listed on there under my city.  It's actually quite a shame people are putting her personal info out there like address, phone #, place of work but otherwise it's just funny.

3. Pinterest or Facebook? Why? Hm I use facebook a bit more just to keep in contact with everyone.

4. Twitter or Instagram? Instagram- I'm a wanna be pro photographer and as such I run almost every picture I take through instagram.

Dear Blogger Friends.. Forgive me for I have sinned

Dear Bloggy Friends: I'm sorry I've been MIA but rest assured even when I don't post I'm still reading. As a token of my appreciation I've included a few picture collages I've slaved over since everyone loves pictures! Dear Summer: I'm sad to see you go what seems so quickly but I'm over the 90+ degree's and the heat. I do however think this has been one of the best summers EVER! 50th anniversary party, 2 trips to the beach, brothers of the sun tour and lots of good times with friends and family. Dear Fall: I love you, your pumpkin farms, hayrides and bonfires. Dear SOA: The new season starts in less than a month and I cannot wait. I think I'll rehash the old seasons (see yummy man candy) until you return on September! Dear Mr. Right: While I understand since you are indeed male you don't want to ask for directions when you are lost but I really think you might need to stop and ask. Mrs. Right is getting awful impatient. I'm 26 year old single college graduate, not exactly what I hoped for at this point in my life. Onto the pictures!
